Back to School (SCHOOL FIRST), JV & Varsity at Del Norte - FRESHMEN AT HOME, plus the SDSU Football & The SkyShow!
For all of you work-at-home warriors that are raising kids or taking care of company business, Monday should be a national holiday. They are out. Gone. For hours, five (5) days a week. I can't tell you how excited I am. It is like the first day of summer for me. Except for the dreaded carpool. But is also means SCHOOL FIRST!
SCHOOL FIRST
If you aren't familiar with our SCHOOL FIRST policy, take a look. Our GPA has risen from 2.97 to 3.59 over the last two years and this year we are going to reach our goal of a team GPA of 3.60. The magic number for academic scholarships to some of the best private schools around the country.
AZTEC GAME (TEAM EVENT)
Did you know as a high school STUDENT/Athlete your son gets free tickets to all San Diego State University football games? Yep, each STUDENT/Athlete can get a ticket for himself and two extra for family or a friend. That works our because I'd love to have you and your son join us for next Saturday's SDSU game and the 44th Annual KGB SkyShow!
SR Football (SRHS & SRPW) are having the annual pre-game tailgate at SDCCU Stadium next Saturday. And as usual, Coach Hasson has organized the event and the Taco Guy. The game is FREE, but tacos (wristbands for all-you-can-eat) are $10 - $12 per person, depending on the final headcount.
We need a headcount by Tuesday. If you and/or your son would like to join us this Saturday, they need to let me (Coach G) know no later than Tuesday's practice. We hope all of you can make it. Remember, the game is FREE, I just have to add them to the high school attendance list. Food (Taco Guy) and the event are optional, but it is a great time for all. FRESHMEN GAME - THIS WEEK!
The boys are working hard and we are doing everything we can to have our first freshmen game this Thursday at 3:30 pm. More info to come. I will confirm the game and time late tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Here is the schedule for the week. Subject to change, with notification via text. Please not Wednesday's practices start a little later because field hockey uses the field before us.
If we pull off a freshmen game, they will practice Mon-Wed, play Thursday. Some freshmen WILL still play in the JV on Friday afternoon in Del Norte.

Both teams walked away with a victory. But both teams have a lot of work to do this week to prepare and get better. Our expectations are very high, so we are holding the boys accountable to each other if we want to reach our goals.
