Our boys aren't going to the NFL. Don't get us wrong, we'd love to see some of them reach their highest goal, but we have to prepare them for college, with or without football. We have to use football, to prepare our kids for life.
Our Mission...
...is to bring the academic excellence we all have grown to expect from Scripps Ranch High School in the classroom, to the football field. Through hard work, dedication, commitment, persistence, adversity, competition and most important team, our kids will learn the essential building blocks for life, through football.
For 2019
#1 - Raise our Team GPA to 3.60 - ACHIEVED (Team GPA 3.71)
2016 - 2.97
2017 - 3.24
2018 - 3.59
Why 3.60? That is the magic number for many colleges and universities to provide academic (not athletic) scholarships for our STUDENT/Athletes. Preparing the team for the next level is our number one priority. Doing it as a team works as a motivator and it also provides accountability.
#2 - Win a League Championship - ACHIEVED (City League Champions)
Did you know it has been 25 years since Scripps Ranch won a league title? (1994)
#3 - Win a C.I.F. Championship (We fell one game short, losing in the CIF Championship)
SRHS has never won a CIF championship in football.
