TRADITION
Tradition is very important to the Falcon Football Family. In keeping with tradition I will be accepting love offerings of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Reese's Pieces for my birthday. To keep the boys from messing this up and eating them at school or them melting in a backpack with dirty socks, the special event will happen on Saturday, October 9th.
Now remember, this is in exchange for putting up with these boys from January to November. Just think of all of the yelling I do for you parents, saving your voice and frustration. :-)
OUR GOAL
Last year the boys brought in 187lbs of joy. This year, our goal is 200 lbs! You can do it folks. I believe in you.
DO's
Do buy more than you think is necessary
Do buy early, as there may not be 200 lbs available in Scripps Ranch at the last minute
Do buy on Amazon, as they have endless supplies (direct link to joy)
DONT's
DO NOT present me with Reese's Pumpkin or Ghost shaped nonsense. The ratio of peanut butter to chocolate is ALL WRONG. Your child will be penalized. Kidding-ish.
DO NOT be a Riley Merrigan. Carrots are not an acceptable substitute, as there is no substitute.
DO NOT forget. While offerings will be accepted late, I will ask your son if he doesn't love me.
DO NOT ALLOW YOUR KID TO COME TO MY HOUSE AND ASK ME IF THEY CAN HAVE ANY. MY WIFE IS VERY GENEROUS AND GIVES A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT AWAY. I DO NOT. SO PLEASE KEEP THEM AWAY!!!
AND MOST IMPORTANT
Please know this is all in fun. BUT IT IS MUCH MORE FUN IF YOUR KID BRINGS ME MORE REESE'S THAN YOU THINK IS NECESSARY.
The MVP over the last few years, the Theilackers, who now have two sons in the program, so I fully expect their contribution to the big day to be doubled. I am nicer to their kid because of it. Tracy and Noah Gardinera, I don't know if you've been participating over the last few years. STEP UP YOUR GAME.
